The Blaming

Updated: Sep 14

The terrorists are to blame

(not the ideologs in cabinet)

the hostages are to blame

(not the government)

the arab owners of the lands are to blame

or their olive trees or their goats

(not the settlers stealing their lands)

the schools, public libraries and hospitals are to blame

(for standing on the way of bombs)

the hungry children are to blame

(for playing in the front of bullets)

the women, the mothers and grandmothers are to blame

(for nurturing and protecting the new generations)

the men are to blame

(fighting over flour bags to feed their families)

international journalists and photographers are to blame

(for telling the story of this carnage)

doctors and paramedics are to blame

(for trying to keep people alive)

the United Nations aid organisations are to blame

(for feeding the hungry and calling out starvation)

the millions of people denouncing genocide are to blame

(not the ones committing it)

in the meantime,

society is destroyed,

people keep starving and dying,

lands are stolen,

suffering keeps enriching weapon manufacturers

a criminal government keeps repeating that black is white

and white is black

bullets keep been fired and bombs dropped

the righteous ones will keep blaming everyone except them

until they are left alone

I’d like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people as the traditional owners and true sovereigns of the land where I live. I like to pay my respects to elders past and present. Sovereignty has not been ceded, treaties have not been signed.

I like to extend the acknowledgement to other traditional owners in Australia, Latin America and other parts of the world.
