Remains

Standing on a sea of burnt trunks

of piles of ash and loose objects

under a grey cloudy sky

away from the bitumen and dirt roads

the remains of a machine

rusted metal, 

a canvas of golden fluids,

melted cables,

plastic and leather, 

broken glass and 

the hanging skeleton of a woofer 

like an ancient funeral pyre

it stays 

keeping its secrets, its stories
